I am certified Chess Trainer who has been awarded 4 Titles.

I have obtained the title of FIDE Instructor { International Chess Federation } in March 2018 by attending FIDE Trainers Seminar "FIDE Trainers Commission" and also have been awarded the title of AICF Instructor { All India Chess Federation } in "Training for Trainers" Program in January 2019. I have passed examination for AICF Trainer { All India Chess Federation } "Chess in Schools Project" in July 2021. I attended Chess for Everyone - National Arbiter Seminar and cleared examination so AICF { All India Chess Federation } has awarded me the title of "National Arbiter of Chess" in February 2022.

As a player I was runner-up in “Waves of the Danube” International Chess Festival 1800 Cup held at Romania, Europe in 2017 and have also won Individual Gold Medal on Board Number 6 in All India Inter University Chess Championship held at Kerala in 2013. I have participated in Commonwealth Chess Championship held at New Delhi in 2015, South Asian held at Jammu and Kashmir in 2016, Gujarat International 2018, Goa International 2018 & 2019, Delhi International 2014, 2018 & 2019, Delhi Open Rating in 2016 & 2017, National Amateur held at Jaipur Rajasthan in 2022 and National Amateur held at Katni Madhya Pradesh in 2013, National Youth Under 25 held at Kerala in 2013 and National Challengers held at Amity Univerity Noida - Uttar Pradesh in 2016, All India Open Saharanpur - Uttar Pradesh in 2015 and continuously won 4 Gold Medals at Punjabi University, Patiala from 2010 to 2013 Session and represented in University of Calcutta - West Bengal in 2010, Magadh University Bodh Gaya - Bihar in 2011, VIT University Vellore - Tamilnadu in 2012, Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University Kanpur - Uttar Pradesh in 2013 and University of Calicut - Kerala in 2013 so totally I have played over Official National Chess Championships and FIDE Rating Open Chess Tournaments all across the Country.

I started my own academy Chess Castle, Patiala at my place in 2016 to help local chess students. I am working independently as a Chess Trainer from January 2017 and from April 2020 I have been working with chesspathshala which is an online chess academy founded by International Grandmaster Swapnil Dhopade.

To be honest my forte is to train the kids between the FIDE Rating Range from 1000 to 1500. My playing experience gives me an opportunity to teach the game I am extremely passionate about and also I am willing to share my knowledge and experiences with the players who really want to improve their game and are ready to make serious work !!

Very patient with kids

Jaspreet is a hardworking chess teacher. He is very patient with kids. He works hard with kids and tries to make them understand the concepts. He is friendly with kids and pays personal attention as per the need of the kids.
He also share some useful study material of chess for self study of the child.

Amazing coach and passionate player

I met Jaspreet sir 3 years ago when he had just begun his career as an instructor. I was a hobby player and joined chess coaching just to exercise my mind and brainstorm on board variations. I got more than expected from him. He gives a lot of individual attention to his students. His passion for game inspired me to work hard in the field I enjoy and am passionate about. He had truly been a great mentor and friend to me.

Excellent Chess Tutor as well as player

His teaching style is just tremendous. It's simple, instructive and to-the-point which helps every student to clear his/her concepts. Some of the points which I admire about him are :
1. Focuses on every aspect of the game majorly on middlegames and endgames.
2. Advices the student the type of opening he/she should play according to his/her style.
3. Shares useful free resources(books, pgns, etc.) wherever required.
Hence, all in all he is a really great chess instructor and I would definitely recommend him if you wanna improve at chess.

Underrated Chess Coach.

Jaspreet is an underrated Chess Coach from a nondescript town which is not known to many.

Jaspreet has deep analytical skills and has the ability to bow down to the level of the child to make the child feel comfortable.

Jaspreet does not weightage to money and passionately goes on with the class till the time the concept is not clear to his student.

A gem which is rarely found these days when majority of the coaches are only bothered about their fee!

Hardworking and pay personal attention to student

I am a parent and my son study chess from Mr. Singh. He is always aware of what his student require and he plan his study açcordingly. He also share some useful study material of chess for self study of the child. An excellent experience for me and my child.

With my personal experience I would highly recommend Jaspreet Singh as a Chess Coach for fast improvement. He has vast knowlegde of chess literature. Experienced Coach who clears all the doubts with suitable examples and tips which are required in competitive tournaments. Extensive study material, Test strategy with Analysis, Lectures for missing topics will help the player to improve positional understanding.The main thing is how he explain the positions so I am very happy with his Coaching.
