Dear students, if you feel like you are stuck, don't be ashamed or anxious about it. Finding subjects challenging to understand is something every student experience at some point in their academic life. But I promise you, by working together we can make sure you ace your exams and get those good grades that you deserve.

I have B. Sc. (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Through this program, I was able to build a strong foundation in mathematics and engineering principles. I have also taught these subjects to students all levels such as high school, undergraduate and postgraduate. I believe with my experience; I would be able to explain these concepts in a simple yet effective manner.

I have been teaching subjects such as digital and analog electronics, signals and systems, control systems and engineering mathematics for undergraduates and postgraduates from IT and Engineering for the past three years. I have also taught maths and science to high school students. I am an inventor. I enjoy my time building various things such as games, electronic circuits and other DIY stuff. I love playing chess, and I have a lovely dog which I love spending time with.

  • Research Assistant (Mar, 2018–Present) at Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology
    Working on cutting edge robotics concepts such as Human Aware Navigation of Mobile Robotics. I have been developing a smart robotic wheelchair capable of autonomous navigation using ROS (Robot Operating System) for the past 3 years.
  • Trainee Engineer (Sep, 2017–Mar, 2018) at DSI Tyres- Mahara, Kadawatha
    Developed and implemented a single axis CNC machine for rectifying paint lines on rubber strip used to make cycle tyres. Computer vision algorithm developed in Matlab. CNC machine control established via Serial communication. Also developed and implemented a tyre tube counting system based on computer vision and AI.
  • Trainee Engineer (Sep, 2015–Feb, 2016) at Hayleys Fentons
    Was responsible for assembling and troubleshooting electronic governer boards, safety modules and other control modules for mini-hydropower plants. Also designed a number of systems such as automated lighting (dark sensing), digital clock and inverter for plant requirements.

Fee details

    රු2,000–4,000/hour (US$6.69–13.38/hour)

    Fee depends on the amount of effort I have to put toward the student. If the student is a fast learner, the effort required is less.
