I am a graduate with a degree in philosophy and English. I am experienced in both academic and creative (fiction and non-fiction) writing, and in research. I also have an internationally recognized TEFL certification, and experience teaching English as a second/foreign language.
I like to work with individuals to help them explore their ideas, come up with a groundwork, and, of course, write the actual assignment. This would be followed by proofreading and editing as necessary. This process helps to ground the student in their ideas, and helps them find their own particular process, which is an important part of becoming a confident and efficient writer.
I have, on occasion, written essays for students, but I don't recommend requesting this, since it can be difficult to actually know how you write, and what exactly your professor did or did not cover.
I'm comfortable tutoring general philosophy, as well as specific subjects such as action theory, philosophy of mind and science, aesthetics, logic, and ethics.
I will also work on an individual basis as an ESL teacher.
If you do decide to contact me, it would be best to send a text message rather than calling.
