I am Aanchal Gandhi. I completed my Bachelors and Masters in English Literature from Delhi University. Afterwards, I did my M.Phil in English from Annamalai University. I completed my B.Ed and M.Ed from Maharishrishi Dayanand University, Rohtak. I was among top 500 teachers in CENTA Teacher's Olympiad in 2015. I secured 26th rank at All India Level in Senior Secondary English Teacher's Olympiad (CENTA) in 2019. I have taught in several prestigious schools across Delhi, India. I prepare students for IELTS exams as well. Since I have taught both middle and senior school English, my basic grammar concepts are clear and precise. I have given 100% results in Senior Secondary English classes, that is, classes XI and XII, and IELTS exams.
I believe that literature is not just about stories or text. In fact, it is related to our everyday life. It has universal appeal. Therefore, my classes have a lot of personal touch wherein students are able to relate to their emotions. As a result, it helps in better understanding of the lessons/ topics. I ensure my students' emotional and mental well being. I make use of audio-visual aids/ videos available online. We do a lot of activities in classes such as interviews, quiz, etc. I focus on brevity, sentence formation and coherence in writing skills. This will later help them in corporate world as well. Regular assessments help me in analysing students' understanding levels. These assessments also boost students' confidence level. I move ahead of school classes so that we get ample of revision/ practice time before school assessments. I expect my students to work hard and give equal importance to English as to other subjects.
