Myself Rekha from Mysore. Trained in Carnatic Classical music and Bhavageethe (Light Music/ Sugama Sangeetha) from Smt H R Leelavathi. A “B High” graded artist of All India Radio, Mysore. Have participated in “Makkala Mantapa Program” in 1987 organised by All India Radio, Mysore where I was one among 50 students who was selected for the program.

I am conducting online classes for all age groups in Carnatic Vocal, Sugama Sangeetha, Devaranaama, Shlokas etc on one on one basis and no group sessions. In addition to teaching, I conduct workshops in music so that people develop passion towards music and start learning music. I prepare students to take up exams conducted by the Karnataka Board and achieve certification in Carnatic Music.

I received first prize in the BHAJAN Category conducted by ATM and Kalakrithi Super Singer Contest 2023

In addition I am having 25 years of experience in Human Resources and worked in various companies in Bangalore.

My daughter is enjoying the classes!!

Unbelievable and we hit the jackpot in finding the right Carnatic music teacher for my daughter. Mrs Rekha Iyengar is very patient, very talented and has natural teaching skill. Even though my daughter doesn't know how to speak fluent Kannada, she has learnt to sing and we are very proud of her progress. If a 11 year old girl born and brought in US is excited about learning our traditional Carnatic music through online, it is a credit as much to the skill of the teacher.

Wonderful Teaching

I and my Son have been learning Devarnama from Rekha Ma'am for the last 3 months and we are very happy with the progress made so far. Ma'am has been very supportive and has at all times tried to understand our tone and length of singing and has modified the singing pattern to match the wave length. Overall, a very good teacher with a lot of patience and energy towards teaching.

Wonderful experience

We are very much satisfied with the teaching. Could find improvement in my daughter's singing within a short period. My kid also enjoying the classes.
