My name is Edelfrida Tibaija. I am a professional teacher of Swahili language and Linguistics. I have a masters of Swahili from the university of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania.
I have eleven years of experience as a language teacher at different institutions in Tanzania. Also, I used to teach Swahili language to foreigners at the University and out of the university. I use different teaching methods, styles by considering nature, age, sex and the needs of learners. These considerations help me to choose appropriate methods and styles of teaching due to student's needs.
My suitable method of teaching includes participatory methods which allow student full participation in the lesson. For example I use discussions, oral drills and others in teaching and learning process. Furthermore, different theories of foreign language teaching help me to get suitable ways of teaching my students.These things make my student to understand what they are taught. Also they are the reason of why I am a good language teacher and I am so proud to be a language teacher.
Swahili language is so simple when you meet a professional and experienced teacher. Karibu sana!
