My initiation to classical music happened at a very young age, and from the age of 7, I started learning pure Indian classical vocal. My present Guruji Sri Ramen Saha is a disciple of renowned vocalist Pandit A T Kanan. My first Guruji Sri Dhirendranath Chattopadhyay is from Bishnupur Gharana, and I learned under him for 17 years.

I am an expert in Bilambit Kheyal, Dhrupad, Bhajan. Raagas like Imon, Bhupali, Behag, Baghesree, Kedar, Megh, Miya ki Malhar, Gorokh Kalyan, Tori, Bhairab, Desh, Jayjayanti, Madhubanti, Jog, Charukeshi are few of the raagas which I have practiced throughout my long musical journey. Teaching Indian classical music is a fascinating experience for me because guiding and motivating the students into the harmonious world of raagas is very satisfying. I strive to teach with utmost care so that students can be at ease and attain their best learning experience.

Passionate teacher

Samadrita is a passionate music teacher. My daughter is learning Indian classical music online for last couple of months and she enjoys learning music with her. She said our teacher is kind and teaches us music well. I find my daughter is progressing well in music!
