Running a case load of approximately 160 files for negligent advice against brokers for the mid-selling of interest only mortgage. Pursuing claims directly against broker or their network as well via the Financial Services Compensation scheme and/or Financial Ombudsman. Analysing cases for a potential claim once received from Pure Claims after securing funding. Issuing protective proceedings at court. Instructing counsel and part 35 experts. Training new staff, working with the training academy to produce new procedures. Liaising with clients, counsel, court and other third parties. Drafting witness statements, letters of claim and submission letters. Meeting KPIs and SLAs.

Assisting fee earners, as well as running own caseload of the following matters; Conveyancing, Family, Private Client, Public Law Children, Change of name Deeds, Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection, Landlord and Tenant and Personal Injury. Within Conveyancing I dealt with residential sales and purchases, re-mortgages, bridging finance, transfers of equity, commercial property, through from inception to post-completion. Within Family matters, I have advocated at Court before the Lay Magistrates, District Judges, Deputy Judges and a Circuit Judge. I have successfully obtained non-molestation orders, special guardianship orders, child arrangements orders, financial orders and prohibited steps orders. I have prepared witness statements, scott schedules and drafted orders. I have prepared briefs to counsel, bundles, and form Es and other documentation. Within public law children matters, I have advocated at Court, attended pre-proceedings meetings, prepared applications to instruct ISW’s and also prepared letters of joint instruction from all party. I have had both private and publically funded matters, therefore submitting legal helps and legal aid applications. I set-up the company facebook page and also took over the firm’s social media accounts for facebook, twitter and linkedin. I suggested and assisted with the firm implementing a new case management system within the first month of my starting at the firm which helped streamline our working processes and also gave us access to our case management service at all times, on the go. This assisted greatly in court as meant we could have digital bundles instead of paper ones and made movements towards becoming paperless. With my own caseload, I ensured that every digital file was an exact copy of the paper file. I exceeded my target of billables for the 17/18 financial year and was well on target for exceeding my target for the 18/19 financial year, all whilst still assisting other fee earners.

Assisting the Senior Partner with a wide-range of property matters from inception through to completion. Residential Property, Sales and Purchases, Right to Buy, Help to Buy, New builds, Commercial Property, Leasehold, Freehold and Unregistered Titles. Dealing with all stages from Quotes to client care raising enquiries, preparing title reports, completion statements reviewing mortgage offers, local searches and other ancillary documentation. Completing OS1s, Bankruptcy Searches, SDLTs, Registrations and more as well as all personal assistant and other secretarial duties across Family, Wills and Probate and Criminal matters. Assisting the firm in applying for and adhering to LEXCEL standards, including implementing and managing electronic diary systems and assisting with the implementation of new structures and procedures as well as training junior members of staff. Capable of running files with little or minimal supervision but all work has been carried out with the supervision and approval of the Senior Partner and other Fee-Earner.
