I am a Ph.D. student in Chemistry at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. I have 6 years of experience in teaching Chemistry as a private tutor and as a lab instructor at both: the American University of Beirut and McGill University.

I am also a native Arabic speaker, with a wide experience in the formal 'Fus'ha' Arabic language. I can help students develop their spoken Arabic communication skills, vocabulary, grammar, poetry, writing skills, as well as their ability to read and understand the Quraan if requested. I like that students sense the beauty of the Arabic language and feel the passion towards it. I can also recommend interesting and useful Arabic novels, as I read a lot. Also, I've worked as a volunteer in a scientific English-Arabic translation journal building a solid knowledge of how to translate a scientific article and how to communicate it with native Arabic speakers.

My teaching methodology might vary based on what students prefer, for Chemistry, I keep it up to the student to choose if I should explain the whole chapter all over again or explain each idea alone by referring to solved examples.

However, in Arabic classes, I like to enhance the student's "Arabic ear" through Fus'ha communication training. As I believe, the ability to think and express yourself in Arabic will reflect directly on the written skills including grammar.
