Hello,
My name is Nikita, and I'm from Mumbai and have worked in Mumbai and Ernakulam. I'm currently studying in Germany. I've been teaching dance for over 8 years at my institution Narthaki Nrithyalaya based in Mumbai. I'm also a member of International Dance Council, UNESCO. My students attend exams conducted at Nalanda Dance Research Center, as well as Level 1 and 2 of Bharatanatyam dance certification by CID-UNESCO. (CID-UNESCO certificate course is specialized and the student needs to be screened before enrolling.)

I'm a Cambridge University's CELTA graduate, with experience in teaching English to Egyptian and Indian students. I'm also a postgraduate in English Literature and have been taking creative and content writing workshop for the past 3 years. I teach spoken English by engaging in simple conversation to non-English medium students. I also teach using Cambridge's English teaching methodology to speakers on the beginner level. I scored 8.5 in IELTS on my first attempt with 0 preparation. As of February 2023, my students have scored up to 7.5 in IELTS.
I regularly provide proofreading and editing services based on UK/US English standards.

I teach German language to beginners and tutor high school students for exams. 20 of my students have passed Goethe A1 so far, 12 have passed A2 exams, and a batch is currently preparing for Goethe A1 exams.

  • Founder & Dance Instructor (Sep, 2012–Present) at Narthaki Nrithyalaya, Mumbai
    Narthaki Nrithyalaya was started as an attempt to build a community of young dancers with a firm base in Bharatanatyam. I'm a part of International Dance Council, UNESCO and share the privileges with the students. The classes are paced out and always in small batches to give individual attention. More focus is given to learning the steps and perfecting the posture and to the practical elements of dancing, so no students are rushed onto the stage or put into a competition with each other till their bodies are ready.
