My name is Jumoke Olakanye - Kuteyi, from Ondo Nigeria.

Students whom I have been opportuned to teach excelled in their academics and yearned to learn more in my eight years of teaching experience both offline and online.

Although there are different methods used in teaching, student-centered has been of great help to the students as they become the focus of the lesson.

With student-centered teaching methods, a very lively and growth stimulating learning environment is created for easy learning and retention.

Demonstration, play and field trip methods are used to introduce topics to students for easy assimilation.

  • Foods and Nutrition Teacher (Jan, 2022–Present) at Government secondary school, gwagwalada Abuja
    As a Foods and Nutrition Teacher, I teach SS 1 - SS 3 students. I teach the theory and practicals and prepare students for external examination.
  • Class Teacher (Jan, 2017–Dec, 2020) at Salvation Army Primary School, Ondo
    As a class Teacher, I taught pupils subjects ranging from Mathematics to Civic Education.

    I ensured orderliness and prompt attention in the class. I also take the daily attendance, marking and recording of students' continuous assessment scores.

    I worked as a Home Economics / Foods and Nutrition Teacher fulltime. My major duties were teaching / completion of termly scheme of work, student's continuous assessment, marking / recording of student's scores.

    I was the Home Economics Teacher as well as a Catering Coordinator for the boarding section of the school.
