I am smiling as I type this profile description, because it will be about me as a teacher-- my childhood dream. How many of us succeed in pursuing our ambition, our goal in life? I am so glad I did.

As a teacher, I use different approaches depending on several factors: the age and background of the student, his learning style, level of English skills and type of personality. Of course it is important to know his goal in taking English lessons, whether it is for a job interview, academic advancement, or simply because he wants to enhance his English communication skills. Once we have gone past the first lesson which is entirely an assessment, I commit myself to make a positive difference in my student's learning experience. I guess that is what makes me a great teacher. I take into consideration the needs of my student, as far as learning is concerned. If it takes several examples or different teaching styles to explain a lesson, then that is what I will do. Otherwise, for fast learners, I challenge them with more activities for mastery. What is important is they learn and treasure the learning experience with me.

Fee details

    CA$15–25/hour (US$10.87–18.12/hour)

    Before the pandemic, I charge transportation fee on top of my hourly rate when I teach at the student's house; since the pandemic/lockdown, I work from home and get paid $15 per hour from VIP Kid and $25 per hour from Superprof.
