I am an associate professor at Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Organic chemistry in Cairo, Egypt. Worked for over 20 years in teaching and as a consultant in various educational institutions in Egypt and Saudi Arabia from G9 - college students. I speak English fluently, with an American accent, as well as Arabic as it is my mother tongue. I am an experienced chemistry teacher for IGCSE, IB, American Diploma (SAT), and college students. Certified as (AS/A2 chemistry teacher) from the British council. and holding PH.D. in Organic chemistry, from Cairo University.
I believe that specially chemistry is a science that can never be "memorized", and if any student tend to memorize it would certainly have very low grades. My teaching methodology depends mainly on conceptual teaching and problem-based learning. I give my students my own notes, but always encourage them to learn from textbooks to be on the International level and could compete scientifically any where in the world.
My students usually have very high grades, but this has never been my only target; my mission is to touch the youngsters' hearts and minds, to illuminate a spark in their souls and to make the concepts of scientific thinking, methods, and inquiry a part of their personalities.
