Hello there! I am a passionate, freelance, part-time English teacher and writing/essay expert, with 16 years of experience in helping hundreds of happy students reach their goals. I am a PhD scholar, with a distinction in my MPhil. I come from a multilingual home, where I acquired native-level proficiency in English.

A warm person and a passionate teacher

Smita has smoothly guided my daughter through all the nuances of language making it enjoyable and intriguing for her to learn. She has worked wonders on her writing skills and critical thinking. Her assignments are fun, interactive and thought provoking at the same time. My daughter loves reading poetry and Shakespeare, and engages in meaningful discussions on various subjects . Smita has given unwavering support and proper feedback to my child and we are witnessing her growing from strength to strength!

GMAT verbal - Smita is spot on!

Smita has been my trainer for GMAT verbal. She has been extremely patient with me while going through concepts. She was flexible with class timings. She builds up the difficulty level for the student in a way that I was always curious on how the next question on her slide is going to turn out, so that has kept me on the edge. She broke quite a few inhibitions on a few topics especially RCs in my case. She guided me on devising a proper strategy for solving SC questions as well. I feel less fearful about the Verbal section after learning from her. Would recommend her to everyone who is taking the exam!

Smita was teaching composition writing for Son who is studying Primary 6 in Singapore. He has definitely improved a lot in story formation and started using a lot of vocabulary and new words. She made things easier so that he can understand and remember everything.
