The most important in a successful co-operation is a motivated kid. Attitude determines success by at least 80%! I prefer a cheerful atmosphere to increase the efficiency. In my opinion, a chess tutor's goal should be to teach the ability of thinking and understanding the contexts. There are numerous positive abilites that chess amplifies and that one can make excellent use of in everyday life. With all those youngsters who began with real hunger for learning along huge will to improve we have achieved great results, such as gaining 100-300 rating points a year from levels of 1800-2100. The first student of mine became a Grandmaster within 4,5 years from the level of 2300 just following my advices. My latest success was that an 11-year-old boy has become the leader of his age group worldwide within a year.
