I am a teacher of biology with specialization in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, with a teaching experience of 7+ years. My research included environmental degradation of plastics and the microbes that cause this phenomenon.
My teaching style is "edutainment", education plus entertainment. That includes conventional lectures combined with graphics, animations, interactive content, simulations and quizzes. I always pay great attention to the student in learning real world values and applications of the knowledge they acquire. Scientific knowledge is meaningless if it cannot be applied to our lives, and at the same time it should be fun to learn. I hold this at the core of my teaching style and the students I teach benefit greatly and excel in studies because of this approach.
I can help with online teaching of students of 9th grade and above. I primarily deal with undergrad students in online tutoring. I can help with assignments, quizzes, research and review papers, synopsis and thesis, and research problems. My research style always revolves around molecular biology because it combines genetics and biochemistry as two fundamental sciences of biology.

Experience

  • Researcher (Jun, 2016Jun, 2018) at Industrial Biotech Lab, GCUF Pakistan
I worked as a research student in Industrial Biotechnology Lab of my department in GCUF.
Research Topic: Environmental and Microbial Degradation of Solid Plastic Waste.
Lipase Activity in Selected Microbial Strains.
    Research Summary:
Solid Plastic Waste is one major environmental problem that has devasted the quality of our environment today. My research was to:
    1. Collect solid plastic waste from open dump sites that had been degraded.
    2. Isolate microbes from those plastic samples.
    3. Four strains of bacteria and 4 strains of fungi were majorly responsible for degradation and they were isolated and characterized. Their genome sequencing is under way.
