I'm a registered chemist from University of the Philippines Manila and I'm interested in helping my tutee with his or her learning needs. I teach math (algebra, trigonometry, calculus), basic math for chemistry, general chemistry, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry and medical biochemistry based on my knowledge and skills of these subjects. I'm an alumna of Philippine Science High School - Ilocos Region Campus and can handle high school math, physics, chemistry and biology. I'm also a consistent dean's lister and honor student from elementary until college.
I will help my tutee understand the lesson by giving examples and solving practice problems and activities. I will explain questions and concepts in a way that is easier to comprehend, analyze and recall. I will also evaluate learning styles and provide appropriate techniques to facilitate understanding. I can also assist in preparing for college entrance tests, licensure exams, and in reviewing for an upcoming exam, or in going over a chapter. I will share study tips and problem solving strategies. I will also encourage questions and maintain tutee's self-confidence to facilitate learning and motivate tutee's interest in math and chemistry.
Overall, I will help my tutee become an independent learner and guide him or her through self directed or self paced learning.

This course will cover topics in general chemistry (matter, atoms, electron configuration, stoichiometry, gas laws, chemical equilibrium, acids and bases and other topics).
Students can choose five (5) topics or areas of difficulty and these topics will be discussed for 1.5 hrs per day for 3 days (3 sessions). Each session includes time allotment for solving problems and activities and answering questions for clarifications.
Overall, this course will help SHS students review for an upcoming exam, hone their problem solving skills and understand concepts they are confused with or having difficulty with.
