Profile

This is Lucky gusain an Indian classical vocalist, teacher and researcher, disciple of padamshree Gundecha brothers,pt. Nirmalya dey ji and have learnt from the senior disciple of padamabhushan pt. Rajan & Sajan Mishra ji!

I have been teaching Indian classical music, Dhrupad, Khyal and semi classical music since 2014.

My teaching style:

Hindustani music is something about tone and rhythm and one becomes proficient with an increased knowledge of the same. Voice culture music is very important and it also varies from different genres of music.
I specialize in Dhrupad and voice culture and it is often mentioned that Dhrupad singers have best voice culture compared to other styles of Indian music.

Dhrupad is said to be the oldest form of music which is still being practiced. There are older forms of music as different texts testifies, but they are not widely practiced. Dhrupad takes the centre stage as one of the ancient performing art form in Indian classical music.

In Dhrupad we have four banis:
Nauhar,Gaudhar,Dagar,and Khandahar. I have been taught in Dagar vani style with renowned artists- Gundecha bothers, who follow this particular style.

Teaching methods:

1. Voice culture: voice culture is more about listening ability, sitting style, the way one opens the mouth and a deeper understanding about tone and rhythm .
2. Music appreciation:- Students are encouraged to understand and describe the context and creative processes involved in musical composition.
3. My clientele: Within the age range of 8 to 60, professionals and beginners.
4. Total attention and relentless practice expected from the students.
4. Flexible class timings; rescheduling can be done with prior notice, at least 24 hours in advance
5. One on one lessons and no group classes.
6. Intermediate and advanced students are encouraged to send an audio or video (preferred) of the practice session after every lesson.
7. Training on the different aspects of music like Ear training, Naad yoga which is a blending of music and meditation and different genres of Hindustani classical music like Dhrupad, Khyal, & Semi classical music

    I would love to introduce you to my institute, It's an absolutely perfect institute to trained vocalist,
    I am teaching all the students from begginer to intermediate. It's helps those students who are not financially strong and can't afford my fee. I teach them free of cost. I love to social work also.
