I am Ahiri Chatterjee, a trained Classical Kathak Practitioner and Dancer with an experience of 20 years.
I've been trained under the guidance of the Eminent Guru Shree Sushanta Chatterjee and I've been assisting him for the last 7 years in his classes, workshops and programmes, choreographies. Have done several workshops under Kathak Maestro Late Pt. Birju Maharaj Ji, Vidushi Saswati Sen Didi and Vidushi Durga Arya Didi.
Certified as Sangeet Visharad (5th year) truly from Prachin Kala Kendra chandigarh in a regular course.
For the last 6 years I'm teaching dance in my own Institution Chandrakala Music Institute(Affiliated by Pracheen Kala Kendra Chandigarh). Teaching the students with care for all three batches Beginners, Intermediates and Experts by providing General classes and Special classes. Flexible in both offline and online modes. Also I'm flexible in teaching by going in students location (home tutor). Students will get proper guidance and arrangements for Examination under Pracheen Kala Kendra Chandigarh.
I've stood First in Kathak Dance in Tansen State Music Competition.
I'm also performing in various prestigious programmes for the last 15 years. Iskcon Kolkata Rathyatra Festival, Income Tax Department, HIDCO, Collaborated with Manoj Murali Nair and his troup, Murari Sangeet Smriti, Kalakhetram and Gandharvi Centre, and also many times have been associated with Lalitkala (Institution of renowned Music Singer Pt Jayanta Sarkar) and many more.
My moto is to enlight the students spirits to ensure their aspiring future in this cultural field respectively and to move them forward to the path of radiance.
I basically love to teach practical along with theoriticial knowledge, will teach exercise and warm up techniques. Class test and homework along with online classes will be following up anytime during the week to provide strong grip. Basic entry level beginners are also welcome.
