Teaching is an integral part of my identity as an academic. Because we are scholars inside and outside of the classroom, my research informs my teaching and my teaching informs my research. In my career, I developed a passion for helping students to think critically about quantitative methods and student carrier development. This desire grew out of my own experiences first as a student and then as a teacher. My professors’ enthusiasm for teaching was contagious and their uncompromising expectation for hard work was compelling. I also appreciated their constant availability to answer questions and their use of different strategies to engage us in learning. I have carried these qualities to my own classroom.

I am an accomplished, skilled and dynamic faculty with 20 years of experience in research, industry and teaching. And my technical experience is in the fields of Engineering Mechanics, Applied Mathematics, Mechanics of Materials, Fluid Mechanics, Hydraulics and Hydraulic Machinery, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning, Principles of Flight, Aerodynamics, Aero Engines, Aerospace Propulsion, Aircraft Instruments, Aircraft Systems and Components, Solar Thermal Analysis.
