I love how you can relate any aspect of biology to your life, which makes biology one of the most interesting and relatable subjects. I find relating biology to life while teaching is what helps students remember and apply their knowledge in the exams and in their life. I love when students ask me how a topic may apply in real life or when students can give me examples of it. I believe asking questions and being curious makes you a better learner.
I have taught Edexcel IAL biology over the last 8 years in one of the leading A' level schools of Maldives where I've had the opportunity to teach students with different needs and learning styles. I always try to incorporate different activities in my lesson to help the students understand and remember the content. I've also been a part-time tutor for the last 6 years with very positive feedback from my students. I've been tutoring online for the last two years.

    Conduct regular meetings with teachers under supervision to help identify areas of need. Keep and maintain student and teacher records. Communicate with parents on special cases. Plan and execute meetings and events.

    Taught Edexcel A level biology for grade 11 and grade 12. Prepared lesson plans with a multitude of activities, prepared worksheets, and test papers. Had to overlook the department which included making and executing plans for the subject and student improvement. Prepared and revised school notes and worksheets on the subject. Test papers prepared by other teachers had to be formatted and checked to meet standards.

    Conducted one-on-one and small group tutoring for students in person until March 2020, from then on have been done online. Areas students find difficult are identified and revised, sometimes retaught. Then past papers are practiced on topics so that students know how to attempt in an exam. Sample papers are compiled and assigned before big exams so students have practice and are confident in the topics before the exam.
