I am Assistant professor at reputed college teaching biotechnology stream for undergraduate students currently. I also take tution for students in 11 & 12 grade of AS level, AQ level, AP biology, K12, IB courses, ICGCSE, Edexcel(experienced in all the levels mentioned) and for competitive exams (USABO, NEET, JIPMER, DBT-BET, JAM) and theoretical biology course including both Botany and Zoology. Students of science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) of lower grades from various boards CBSE, ICSE are also welcome. My area of specialization is Anatomy, Molecular biology, Genetics, Immunology, core Zoological concepts, Cell biology, Biochemistry, Environmental Microbiology, SWM (solid waste management) and Microbiology. These are the subjects i have a upper hand on. I can also teach core industrial microbiology, pharmacology, pharmacognosy, plant tissue culture(PTC) and animal tissue culture(ATC), fermentation techniques. I am open for undergraduate and postgraduate courses as well.
I have a research experience in dry lab techniques as well. My area of expertise in structural bioinformatics are PymoL, CPoRT, JALVIEW. I am opent to teach basic bioinformatics analysis tool. Iam also familiar with stat tools like STATA 14.0, Fisher's Test and McNemar test. I am also open to take up research articles, Review paper publications and assignments.
My idea of teaching is to start the subject from scratch and then build foundation for the topic. My teaching is not simple blackboard or whiteboard teaching. I like to incorporate diagrams and sketches and schemes to make it easier. I prefer incorporating PowerPoint presentations and videos for better understanding of concepts.I like to include daily life examples to make topic interesting and to make it more memorable for students. The photogenic impact is important for me. Whatever we write leaves imprint on brain. The more a topic is creatively explained more it will stays with students. Student satisfaction is important.unless student is not satisfied I will not be able to convince myself.
I also like to take feedback from students to improve my teaching. I am flexible if I have to change my teaching style to suit the needs of students.
Concepts clarity is important for me in teaching. If concept is cleared students never have to cram and rely upon memorization of topics. More you understand something more you will be able to express yourself. I truly believe I Einstein quote.."if you can't explain it thoroughly then you haven't understood it completely".
