Reflecting on my background, l appreciate the immeasurable impact that teachers make on the lives of young people. My experience working in varied environments has enabled me to develop a range of practical skills. I am able to manage challenging behaviour effectively, conduct activities safely and communicate with people from diverse backgrounds. Further, l am very creative, innovative and enjoy sourcing materials that make learning interesting. I am a highly enthusiastic teacher with an inner drive to see learners excel in the subject area and in other aspects of life, I have taught both first time biology takers and repeaters, modelling my teaching methods to best suit the learners hence achieve the best possible results. This has been made possible particularly by my ability to identify learner needs and patience in explaining particularly the challenging concepts in the subject matter.
