ABOUT ME:
I'm a visual art nerd who loves everything about the medium from taking images, experimenting with the visual, and weaving stories to reading about the photographic theory. When I'm not thinking about the visual, I'll probably be found creating mini-books.
I'm a lecturer of photographic education, I'm also a student of PhD in visual cultures.

ABOUT THE COURSE(S):
As teacher I like to work in sync with my students requirements and as per their capabilities. The course is customised according to the individual needs and expectations of the students as well as their level of expertise.
The structure is designed to cover key areas of the photographic practice:
1. Technical capabilities (lenses, ISO, shutter speed, aperture etc.)
2. Artistic vision (composition, lighting, story etc.)
3. Image processing (Photoshop, Lightroom)
4. Finding one's expressive style
5. Presenting your work (Printing images, Bookmaking)
The students are also welcome to select from the above categories if they wish to.

All levels and age-groups are welcome.

Experience

  • Guest Lecturer (May, 2021–Present) at Indian Institute of Photography
    MFA: Create curriculum for themes in documentary photography
    Devise inventive strategies for initiating critical discussion regarding themes in Documentary among students
    BFA: Introduce visual sociology as a subject
    Design the course curriculum that merges sociology and visual arts (specifically photography).

Fee details

    ₹500–1,000/hour (US$5.99–11.98/hour)

    Depending on the student's proficiency level with the subject, the fee can also be calculated monthly or according to the number of days/months required by the student as per the course required.
