I have been involved in Literacy and Numeracy Development for over six years working alongside public and private educational institutions to render assistance to students who struggle with coping in the formal education system. My passion is to assist students from low income households and at risk communities to fully immerse themselves in learning via interactive teaching methods, specialized learning plans to suit their interests and constructive feedback sessions. It is my belief that learning is lifelong and it is not confined to a classroom; it takes place firstly at home and at the community level, where meaningful connections are made.
While I do encourage having a solid academic foundation, socialization and appreciation for the environment, culture and society all play a key role in my teaching methods, especially in a Caribbean context.
I look forward to providing service par excellence to students, regardless of age, in order for them to achieve their goals.
