I've been teaching for 4 year until now. I started to teach when I was still studying in unniversity as a part time. It's queit nice to hone my language skills while studying. I considder that my student is my friend, so they won't have any fear to learn with me. f
Mostly the methodology that I use to start the lesson is by giving listening practice. It would be good to hear how native speakers talks. I also love to give the chance for the students to practice their own speaking skills, by giving some time so they can talk about anything they want to. I'd like to give homework, so they will always learn no matter what. Learning language isn't only by doing exercise, you can also find a song in other language, try to listen and maybe you can sing along by reading the lyrics.
Remember, a key to success learning language is always repeat what you've learned today.
