My name is BANJOKO, Alabi Waheed from the department of statistics, University of Ilorin, Nigeria. I am seeking to leverage on my more than twelve (12) years of knowledge and experience in the university as an academic staff and researcher to apply for the teaching job.
I believe I am highly qualified for the job due to my experience in wide areas of applied and theoretical statistics in teaching, research and applications. Currently as a Lecturer, I have taught and supervised both theoretical and Applied Statistics to students in different fields of knowledge at undergraduate and post-graduate level. This has accorded me with the appropriate and efficient use of the knowledge of Statistics in theory and application. Much of my knowledge and experiences in statistics are gained from research and practical activities and are also transferable by way of application. I found this to be an easy task for me if I am offered the position.
Also, I believe my problem-solving skills acquired from the design and execution of new methodologies in applied and theoretical statistics, once as a PhD student and now as an experienced Lecturer, Supervisor and researcher further make me suitable to take on challenges in this position. The experiences gained over the years will make me comfortable in the position.
