People call me "Andrea" but my real name is Andrea Vanessa R. Cortez. I’m from the Philippines! I’m an extrovert person, and I love getting along and meeting new people!

"When I grow up, I want to be a teacher!" said little Andrea, since then, my dream career has not changed. One of the joys of being an English teacher is that I get to know more about different types of learners and cultures. I want to inspire, teach their minds and touch their hearts. I always wish to tell tales; to move souls and ignite confidence; to let them feel that we’re learning together.

I took up a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English at De La Salle University – Dasmariñas. I’ve been teaching the English language to different nationalities for almost 10 years now and I really really love it! I’ve met people from all walks of life from different parts of the globe. I am TEFL certified with over 10 years of teaching experience. I’ve taught 25 nationalities and talking to students from different countries is like stepping into a whole new world…

These training and certifications were acquired throughout my career.
120-Hour TEFL Course
TOEIC & OPIC Training
Free Trial / Level Test Training
Recognition for Excellence in Teaching
Seminar of Multi-Cultural Teaching

I can enthusiastically handle different topics! What I love the most is making them think critically. I like using Business English topics! It is true that English is spoken by many people! In fact, it is the universal language of diplomacy, science, technology, banking, and even computing.

I create a system of learning. As a teacher, I give them corrections; both grammar and pronunciation, detailed feedback, and pieces of advice as well. I let them monitor themselves so that they can appreciate their own improvement. Lastly, we celebrate little victories after classes and that’s the most meaningful part of my class!
