As a teacher, I always make sure the student learns. I do not force students to learn fast because each person has a different style of learning. I will make sure to conduct drills for the student to practice. I will ramp up from easy to difficult when I sense the student has learned the basics. I always start with the basics because most students now learn the advance but get stuck with the basics. I came from a public school but I was in the FL (fast learner) section. We are not a rich family so I made sure I ace my exams in all subjects. I got a scholarship to Cebu City National Science High School. When I went to college, I did not even take the entrance exam. I got also a scholarship in college, also a DOST scholarship for my master's and Ph.D. education. My parents did spend the minimum amount for me to punch through just because I was a scholar from day 1.
