I am Habtamu Gebrehiwot, Sisay and I am an English teacher. I have BA degree in a Foreign Language (English) and literature and MA degree in TEFL (Teaching English as a foreign language). I am also a CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) certified. I have participated in various teacher development courses.
I have been teaching English from starter to higher level in a variety of contexts since 2004. I have taught in high school and a teacher training college. I have also taught both English for specific purpose (teaching peacekeepers) and General English (at the British Council Addis Ababa teaching Centre).
I have been teaching at the Ethiopian Ministry of National Defense, Peace Support Institute for the past 15 years now. I have delivered course like dealing with refuges, working with NGO and the military, CIMIC and courses connected to the job you advertised.
I have the experience of working in a project called Peacekeeping English Project (PEP). It is one a long lasting project funded and given managerial and technical support by the British Council and Department of international Development of UK government ( DFID )to help Ethiopian Peacekeepers improve their English Language Competency so that they can be effective in their peacekeeping missions . I have been serving as a teacher and teacher coordinator.
