My teaching style varies with the student. As I was part of one of the most premier institutions in India (BITS Pilani), I have been exposed to a variety of teaching methodologies which help me decide which suits the student best. The medium of communication is English.
I would be expecting the student to have a pen-tab to solve along with me in classes. The discussions will be mainly centered around the question "Why?".
I believe the student learns fastest when he/she is capable of transforming the knowledge gained in a freshly grasped concept and being able to transfer and apply it wholly to another situation on their own. The classes I run are designed for the same.
The classes will be preferably early morning as I find it to be the best time to learn and to teach. I have taught over 9000 students in the last few years and have obtained good results with respect to both JEE and CBSE Boards.
I am happiest to learn from my students as well. I believe a classroom is an opportunity not just for the students to learn but also for the teacher. The use of technology is heavily encouraged here, but nothing beats the process of sitting and solving through questions. Most of the class time will be spent on solving problems together.
