The methods I use in my job are basically commucative. That means we focus on talking and writing to express your own thoughts or ideas in imaginable real-life situations. We also study grammar and model texts (oral and written) to pick up vocabulary from usage in contexts. If you feel you have had enough directed reading and grammar and would like to focus on practice real talk, you are welcome to come up with your own suggestions as to what and how to study. I'm willing to embrace yout choice - support our in watching the videos you suggest, listening to podcasts and songs, reading the blogs or literature you choose. I'm most interested in humanities and have a travelling experience, so I can easily discuss topics in those areas. On the other hand, I'm not technical, and it'll be hard for me to engage in talks on cars, computers, as well as sports. But if you are a beginner, it doesn't matter, as we'll have to touch upon every area of language at the initial stages of our course.
