“Because of you I understand Mathematics better,” the words from the students that I always hear every time I entered to their classes to teach. I really want to believe that I am an effective teacher because that is what the purpose of being a teacher. It doesn’t matter if you have all the highest qualifications but if you are not an effective teacher then it is worth nothing.
I have my passion in teaching because this is what I want to do and feel happy about it. I feel great when a student who is struggling in learning Mathematics becomes more interested to learn. It is a great honor to serve the students to become successful in life. That is what I want to do, to be an inspiration to students to strive hard to attain their future endeavors in life.
I just want to make a difference where all the students will learn Mathematics as easier as possible. To be able to deliver the lesson in the most appropriate and relevant way as possible. To teach the students properly and make some reflections about the lesson.

MYP and DP Mathematics Teacher (Aug, 2020–Jul, 2022) at UCSI International School, Springhill
Currently working as a MYP and DP Mathematics Teacher. I am teaching from MYP1 – 5 students and DP2 students. Being in IB Programme curriculum is more on open-minded and inquiry-based method of teaching. Students should be investigating and exploring to learn the lesson. Also, I do supervise the personal project of MYP5 students. Preparing the MYP5 students for the upcoming major examination for IB.

I am a Secondary Mathematics Teachers in Malaysia. Teaching the Year 07 in basic Mathematics such as (Algebra, Geometry and others), Year 08 with more critical-thinking questions and the Year 10 (IGCSE approach). Most of the questions in Year 10 came from the past year papers of IGCSE so that they will know how to answers questions in IGCSE papers. I do examination paper for the 3 levels for the assessment test. Included is the Year 10 Elective Mathematics which is the Additional Mathematics (Differentiation and Integration). Also, a Year 08 Level Coordinator, preparing for the assessment test, worksheets and homework, update the unit plan and vertical map (yearly plan).

I’m a Secondary Mathematics Teacher for Sec 1 and 2 students. Teaching in different strategies for them to learn the lesson is the main objectives of my work. Students must learn the basic concept of Algebra which is the main topic of these levels. We also provided them how to engage themselves in critical thinking questions because the school is tied up with Singaporean Schools and the term end examinations are coming from Dr. Ban Har Yeap which is more on analysis, critical thinking and higher cognitive questions. In Sec 1 level, I’m also responsible to do their Unit Test for all the level, classwork, homework and classquiz. Also, answering and vetting the term end examination coming from Singapore before we give it as our examination to the students. Applying the IGCSE Examination paper with the students will benefit them because they are starting to have an idea on what kind of questions can come out to the examination. Lastly, also a trainer of Singapore and Asian School Mathematics Olympiad (SASMO).

With the Cambridge Curriculum, I follow the SOW for the topics in Mathematics, teaching both Extended and Additional Mathematics. Sec 4 includes the revision for the preparation of IGCSE examination. Any concerns about the students can be settled with the Vice Principal first. Also includes that I’m a Form Class Teacher of Sec4 students who are graduating students.
