I have been in the profession for thirty years, 16 of which were spent in the 6th grade. At this level, I prepared students for the high school entry examinations, GSAT and PEP. Records have shown that many of these students were able to perform exceptionally well and were placed in some of the most prestigious traditional high schools and schools of their choice. I do very well in helping students who are struggling to progress in the core subjects areas.

My teaching style is student-centered. I ๐๐ž๐ฅ๐ž๐ ๐š๐ญ๐ž (empower students), ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐œ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฌ (ask a lot of questions, while listening for responses and feedbacks - not being discriminatory) and ๐๐ข๐ซ๐ž๐œ๐ญ (giving clear and concise instructions for assessment) - in no particular order. A lot of my teaching time is spent discussing and brainstorming, getting students to be comfortable enough to try their own methods of learning. I am very accommodating, therefore, I do not stick to one method of delivery.

Problem-solving is key, and so I encourage my students to speak up and out and try different methods in getting solutions without being shy or fearful. Necessary breaks are given at intervals, so students can refresh and rejuvenate for whatever else that is scheduled to be done in order to grasp the concepts.

I strongly believe in Homework assignment and so I expect that when an assignment is sent home, it is done by the student under adult supervision. If I am expected to assist with Homework, then it is still a teaching process for me - not supplying answers.

I am a committed and dedicated individual and I expect that whomever I have to contend with displays the same characteristics.
