Assalam-u Alaikum ! I am Maria, and it has been my honor and privilege to serve as a Quran teacher since 2020. Guiding students on their quest to understand and connect with the teachings of the Quran has been a journey of immense spiritual growth, and fulfillment.
In 2020, I embraced the role of a Quran teacher with a heart full of enthusiasm and a profound sense of responsibility. Teaching the Quran is not merely a job; it's a divine calling that requires dedication, humility, and a deep connection with the scripture. With a desire to make a positive impact, I set out on this journey to nurture the spiritual growth of my students.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of teaching a diverse group of students, each with their unique stories and backgrounds. From eager children taking their first steps in Quranic education to adults seeking a deeper connection with their faith, my classroom has been a tapestry of learning experiences. This diversity has enriched my teaching approach, reminding me of the Quran's universal message that transcends boundaries.
Teaching proper Tajweed is fundamental to helping students recite the Quran accurately and beautifully. I focus on evaluating each student's recitation and creating individualized teaching strategies ensures that their learning needs are met. Modifying lesson plans based on memory capabilities reflects mine commitment to their progress.
I Provide foundational knowledge about the pillars of Islam and basic principles. It is essential for a well-rounded understanding of the faith. My approach is to teach the practical aspects of living according to Islamic rules ensures that students not only learn the theoretical concepts but also apply them in their daily lives.
My classroom is a space of warmth, respect, and interactive learning. I believe in fostering an environment where questions are encouraged, discussions are welcomed, and students feel empowered to explore the Quranic teachings in a meaningful way.     I teach students the correct pronunciation and recitation of Quranic verses and Provide proper guidance on Tajweed (proper articulation and phonetics) to enhance the beauty and authenticity of recitation. I focus on the discussion of meanings, context, and lessons behind Quranic verses and encourage critical thinking and reflection to deepen students' comprehension.
    In addition, I assess individual student capabilities and adjust teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and create lesson plans that cater to various levels of proficiency and pace of learning. I made a deep connection between students and the Quran, nurturing their spiritual growth. Guide students in embodying Islamic values, ethics, and virtues. I teach the fundamental pillars of Islam, including prayer, fasting, charity, and pilgrimage and provide a foundational understanding of Islamic beliefs, history, and practices. I Instruct students on how to incorporate Quranic teachings into their daily lives and decision-making processes. Guide them in applying Islamic principles to ethical and moral dilemmas.
    Moreover, I also Conduct regular assessments, quizzes, and assignments to gauge students' progress and understanding. Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate their achievements to parents or guardians. I foster a positive and respectful classroom environment aligned with Islamic guidelines. I manage student behavior using approved disciplinary procedures to ensure a conducive learning space.
