I am passionate about data based decision making and want to explore opportunities in the same domain. I bring to the table an expertise in Operations Research, handling optimization based software's and mathematical modeling knowledge, along with traditional Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP and Computer Vision capabilities.

I have completed PhD in Operations Management from IIM Calcutta in 2012. My thesis topic is entitled "Mathematical Programming for Product Line Decisions: An Integrated Approach". The thesis revolves around modelling how firms will decide on the optimal product line to maximize profit, revenue, market share when faced with constraining situations like diverse preference patterns' from customers, increasing cost to improve quality, supply chain complications and underlying market forces. The thesis is built up of four Operations Research (OR) models to facilitate the decision making process of the firm. I am experienced in handling large scale optimization and built reusable and software products in C++, Java using optimizer like ILOG CPLEX,Gurobi, X-PPRESS aimed for industrial use and decision making in proper planning. To solve the large scale optimization, most of the times it becomes inefficient to solve through commercial solvers. I have developed heuristics or algorithms to solve these intricate NP-hard problems, and most of them have been published in highly acclaimed international journals in Operations Research(OR) area. I have expertise in developing and delivering software products implemented programming languages like Python, Java and well-versed to state-of-the-art Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP and Computer Vision techniques.

Previously I have completed Bachelors of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. I am also in the practice of periodically providing trainings both in the academic and corporate scenarios
