Freshman Mathematical Sciences major at Waseda University (EBSE). Comfortable teaching a wide span of topics, including:
-Algebra
-Calculus
-Probability theory
-Discrete mathematics
At up to a 12th grade level. I take particular care in explaining proofs and motivations to mathematical concepts at a high school level so as to ensure a high level of understanding and retention.
I have a number of purpose-made worksheets available for use as supplementary learning materials, and am willing to make more to suit the particular needs of a student.
I have a dynamic teaching style, based around guiding the student towards solutions as much as possible. This teaching style is itself guided by a philosophy of ensuring students feel involved directly involved in their approach towards learning mathematics. I also make no false pretense as to my own knowledge on a given topic. If I am unsure regarding a particular point, I will be 100% transparent to the same. That said, I am more than willing to find out, develop an understanding of the subject matter at hand and reassess student questions as necessary.
I am willing to receive questions throughout the week and prepare an answer in prior to sessions. Additionally I am more than willing to adjust class formats as necessary, focusing deeper on student needs where necessary.
