My major skills as a teacher are: collaboration, empathy, patience and listening. I believe in teaching rather than just lecturing. My previous students always give positive feedback concerning my style of teaching. Other than the normal class work, I also use relatable stories and examples to help my students understand better and this is always evident in their performance. I know students always look for teachers who are focused, have value for time, who challenge them and also one who forms a cordial relationship with them. I am proud that in my past assignment as a teacher, I managed to accomplish all this. I also strive to make my interactions with my students more interesting and fun. This approach makes them more attentive as they tend to understand more and retain a higher percentage of what I have taught them. Even though I am a teacher, I also believe in learning from my students. Having such a teaching environment has always enabled me to have a smooth teaching and learning experience with my students.
