Hi!
I hope you're safe and doing good

My name is Akshay, and I have been teaching SAT, ACT, AP, Olympiads, College level Mathematics and Physics students for many years. I completely understand what students go through. My experience has taught me that rather than acting as a direct instructor, my role as a tutor is more of a facilitator. I firmly believe that students should be given the opportunity to find their own solutions before I intervene and try to assist them. If you think it's necessary, I'm willing to take a trial class, but I wouldn't prefer it.

I strongly feel it's all about passion. Everybody has gained experience in their respective fields over a period of time however teaching is not just about sharing your experience, knowledge, and skills but rather developing a bond with your students that you are genuinely interested in their development and well-being. Teaching is all about becoming a bridge that connects your students which their true potential and helps them to achieve their hopes and aspirations. True education should not only clear all the academic concepts and doubts but also should let students know about the practical implications in real-world scenarios. who, why, what, where, and when should always be in focus and must be emphasized. Independent critical thinking, life skills, and the ability to contribute to society in an ethical way should always be considered.

Teaching Methodology:
At the start of each meeting, I ask the student how they're feeling, like if they're tired or excited about something going on in their life. This helps me better prepare for any distractions or a slow lesson, and I think this also lets them know that I care about their well-being and not just that they're at the lesson. Then, I ask how if they had any wins since we last met. I find that starting with this positivity helps both of us focus on the good, which often makes for a more productive session. I then go over the agenda for the session so that they know what to expect. I also typically give them a brief quiz to go over the previous sessions topics and see what they remember and or where they may need additional work. After the review, I try to connect how those previous topics relate to what we're going over in the current session. I go through the lesson, which typically involves the student reading material aloud and discussing the prompts with me. Finally, I leave at least five minutes at the end of the session for any additional questions about the material.

Over the previous five years, I've worked with over 1000+ students to help them improve their math skills. I've discovered that poor outcomes are often caused by flaws in approach (misreading or misinterpreting question formats, bad habits in regular mathematical tasks such as multiplication, terrible 'working out' practises, and so on), as well as a lack of experience.

My goal as a math instructor is to provide my pupils with the required tools for current and future success in math, whether in a scholarly or professional environment.

    1. Delivered math lectures in the classroom.
    2. Students were tutored one-on-one or in small groups.
    3. Students were given homework and assignments.
    4. Exams were conducted and test papers were assessed.
    5. On a regular basis, I assessed the performance of the students.
    6. Students were involved in discussions and quizzes.
    7. Student behavior and disciplinary norms were strictly enforced.
