As a freelance tutor, I effectively engage and inspire my students through a variety of teaching styles and methodologies, and adapt my teaching methods to suit the needs of my students depending on their areas of strength or weakness. These include dialogues on real life examples during our lessons, and personal experiences that encourage internalization of content and also student creativity.
Each lesson is followed by assignments to assess level of progress. I use a variety of assessment methods (including past papers, worksheets, etc.) to evaluate student progress and to adjust their instruction accordingly. I create a positive and supportive learning environment for my students regardless of age or ethnic background. Inclusion and diversity forms a critical backbone to my teaching methodology. Additionally, I have achieved positive student outcomes, such as academic success and a love for learning, even where students have struggles with certain aspects of content in English. I work especially with students who are candidates to prepare them for their English examinations (Common Entrance, Checkpoint and IGCSE). As a result, I have continuously tutored students who have been referred to me by parents whose children I have taught in the past.
