Description :

Provide key support for the implementation of a new math curriculum, Math in Focus.
Taught elementary math, pre-algebra and algebra to students in grades 4-8 Developed lesson plans, teaching outlines, and curriculum maps based upon Singapore Mathematics Math In Focus Curriculum.
Used a variety of methods in teaching including student-led lessons, independent work, group work, and project-based assessments.
Used a variety of math manipulatives such as place value charts, unit cubes, scales, weights, fraction circles, and graphing calculators to ensure understanding of materials.
Individualized and adapted content to ensure equal access to all students.
Provided both group and individual instruction in a manner that effectively used classroom time.
Maintained appropriate guidelines for student behaviour.
Prepared, administered, scored, and recorded mathematical assessments.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in education or a related field
Expertise in the field of mathematics
Experience teaching in a classroom environment
Ability to communicate effectively with all staff and colleagues
Flexibility and high adaptation skills to work successfully in an unpredictable school setting
