Our faculty works hard to give our students a top-notch educational experience. For undergraduates studying computers, the department has just begun offering a new introductory course sequence on computational thinking and program design. This course structure is based on innovative and tried-and-true computer science education principles, whose efficacy has been thoroughly investigated. Every member of our faculty is dedicated to educating students in computer science in the context of applications, which is crucial for careers in any area of society.
Research in software engineering, programming languages, and symbolic computation is done by academics and students. Both domestically and abroad, this work is respected. Our faculty routinely contributes to conferences by giving presentations and sitting on the organizing or program committees. Students help professors with their research, some of which is funded by the federal government.
The pursuit of internships, which are crucial for a successful entry into the job market after graduation, is promoted among computer science students. Graduates work in a variety of industries, including telecommunications, web design, news media, insurance, finance, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and many more. Others pursue positions in academics, government, and teaching.
