I welcome the chance of working with you as an online teacher. In all my years of teaching, I
created effective procedures, policies and a wide range of teaching and learning resources. I feel
that I have the skills to take on a new challenge and I know I have the vision, dedication and
enthusiasm to help you to achieve the success you desire.
I have been the head of Sociology and Psychology Departments for students age 16 to 18 years
old, and managed two full-time psychology teachers and, oversee their performance
management and professional development.
The skills that I have acquired I have easily transferred to the educational online setting. I think
it is very important to work alongside the students and promote open communication in order to
ensure that the needs of the students are being met.
I have a real passion for teaching. Hence, the past few years I have challenged myself to teach
RE and History to students age 12 to 14 and Critical Thinking to more mature students age 16 to
18 years old. Furthermore, I monitored students, preparing to go to university with their
sociology research projects. Working with a variety of years has enhanced my teaching skills
through collaborating and sharing best practices, making use of further pedagogies within
different classroom environments.
In my own teaching I strongly think that learning should be enjoyable and that the atmosphere
should be both purposeful and mutually respectful. I have created a wide range of teaching
resources that have enabled me to be an effective teacher and to bring a variety of activities to
my online lessons that stimulate teaching and learning.
My role as a teacher has always been to broaden the horizons of pupils and encourage further
inquiry above and beyond the textbooks. For that reason I have almost completed a course on
Mindfulness focus on developing students performance and attitude to learning and increasing
concentration and motivation.
Finally, I am looking forward to developing self-reliant pupils and enabling all to reach their full
potentia
