As a teacher with 10+ years experience, I believe the most important tool I could have is adaptability and consideration. The partnership between a student and their teacher relies on being on the same side: I make great efforts to understand my students, learn what they are passionate about, and adapt the learning to make it meaningful to them. I want my students to know that our lessons are not just an extension of school but rather a time carved out just for them and their goals, skills and - ultimately - their successes.

I am a personable person by nature, and I'm not above going the extra mile. I like to inject humour and fun whenever possible. I ensure students walk away knowing their learning journey because they can explain how they have continued to take steps forward.

With experience teaching high-quality primary education in the UK, Italy, Thailand and South Korea, I am well-versed in numerous curricula. I understand natural strengths and weaknesses within core subjects, such as English and Maths, and utilise cross-subject connections when possible to bring a holistic approach to our sessions. Teaching grammar through a trending Newsround item has often won over even the most reluctant of students!

I also have ample experience teaching Creative Writing to all age ranges, from young learners to adults working on their debut novels. I have led numerous creative writing, drama and theatre clubs aimed at providing a fun yet solid foundation of skills that can be used in everyday situations.

Fee details

    £20–35/hour (US$24.69–43.21/hour)

    Basic hourly fee starts at £20 for online lessons, with increases based on additional aspects requested (homework, progression plan, travelling to student etc). Longer term agreements can be adjusted to a lower rate, and I am always very happy to discuss circumstances to best suite everyone.
