My 34 years of experience has given me the valuable insight that teaching is more than just mere classroom instruction. I take teaching as a source of pleasure as it keeps extending the horizon of my knowledge. A good teacher takes her job as a challenge and has to constantly innovate to better her methods. Over the years I have, in my teaching, based on my experiences with students, brought forth many innovative methods and have enjoyed watching my methods work. I’ve especially been striving in shaping students who will, later on, become assets to the society. Being a volunteer psychological counselor I concentrate more on motivating the child towards learning the subject with interest and understand the concept thoroughly. I believe in imparting value education to students, and I trained myself to do the same via attending multiple seminars and workshops on value-education. Having done courses in Adult Psychology and Child Psychology as part of the curriculum in my B.Ed, I have been trying to motivate the children to show interest in studies and take the tests without any fear. I go on outreach to maintain a personal interaction to different schools and colleges.
.My experience has taught me that the difference between an intelligent and a dull student is just the amount of time spent on practising problems; the gap can be closed effectively by making Math, Physics and Chemistry problems enjoyable in solving, thus, not alienating students of any background or ability. I strive to bring out the inner talent every child has within, at the same time taking care that the child is not carried away by his/her own ability. I feel always 'Down to Earth" mentality makes a person humble and good citizen.
I have been teaching Mathematics( Algebra1, Algebra2, Precalculus, Calculus, Geometry), Chemistry, and Physics to students from abroad for the last 12 years.
. All through my career, I've been regarded as very innovative in my teaching style, also winning a state-level first prize for the same. I use my personal teaching kits and teaching aids to help kids understand the difficult concepts of mathematics and physics. The following are some of my achievements.

"Best Teacher" Award for Math. in 1988, while completing B.Ed
State first prize for "innovative teaching using low-cost teaching aids" in 1994, while working at Nirmala High School
Received multiple prizes in Science fairs and student science congresses throughout my teaching career.
I worked as Systems analyst at defence labs (DRDL, Hyderabad) from 1977-80
I am a trained psychologist.
I have done some courses in Soft- Skills with distinction.

    weekly two classes of each one-hour duration. Each session is one-to-one. Total classes per month will be 8 classes.
    Charges vary depending upon the grade that the student is studying.

Knowledgeable and Experienced Teacher of Math and Science

Prior to joining Ms. Nirmala, my son has been slowly getting addicted to gadgets and studying for little and littler amounts each day. Although considered quite smart, this negative attitude towards schoolwork has been affecting his results and confidence. Joining Ms. Nirmala has been a blessing as she is very much willing to spend time to understand the child's issues. She has helped him catch up with gaps in his learning and moved him onto next year's curriculum, ahead of school, and that too without any complaints! Hats off to her!
Not only did Ms. Nirmala impart sound subject knowledge, but her strictness, diligence, and punctuality also encourages my son to value learning, develop time consciousness, and model the right behavior.
I am very much encouraged by what he is today; and if we get an opportunity to continue with her, I am sure he will once again show interest in having goals and implement plans to achieve them.
