I have taught over 40 students, primarily 1-on-1, for thousands of hours. My approach is rather non-traditional; Instead of a one-size-fits-all lecture-style method, I tailor my approach to each student. We tackle hard questions and concepts using Socratic questioning - In other words, I teach my students how to ask good questions that will serve to better understand a concept or make progress in a question, and answer them using a fundamentals-first approach (aka reasoning from first principles). I refrain from telling my students "what" to do, but motivate them to figure out the "why" and the "how".

My students have done quite well: My SAT students report an average score increase of 200+ points in the math section; Most of them go from the 560-620 score band to 740+ score band. Almost all of my students get a 5/5 on their AP tests. My AMC students also have a significant improvement, often doubling their initial scores. Out of the student who have graduated high school, one of my students got into Stanford. My other students joined the top public universities in their home state. Outside of the USA, one of my students joined Imperial College London, and another student IIIT Delhi.

A Word of Advice: I firmly believe that the best teachers are those who have experienced the rigor of the exams you want to train for. Don't settle for mediocre tutors. You want a teacher who has excelled in the exams (or equivalent exams) you want to prepare for, and prefarably has excellent scores in more advanced tests as well.
