With a B.A (Hons) in Sanskrit with Hindi and History major, M.A in Sanskrit, B.Ed in Hindi and Sanskrit, more than 15 years of teaching experience, my passion has always been to spread the rich knowledge and wisdom that is in our Sanskrit scriptures. My background of both Hindi and Sanskrit has helped me in this endeavor as I am able to reach more students and help them inculcate the same appreciation for these languages as I have.

Only a good guru will be able to bring out the best in his students and help them achieve their full potential. Over the years of my teaching career, I have seen that my students responded positively to my patient and friendly demeanor. The ultimate reward to a teacher if when her students come back to tell her that they have benefited in their lives because they inculcated what was taught to them. I have had many such students spanning across religious and language backgrounds, who are still in touch with me and tell me how they now appreciate having learnt Hindi, Sanskrit and various shlokas from me.

Being multilingual, I can teach using English, Hindi and Tamil as mediums of instruction. I use Zoom, Skype, google duo etc for my online classes currently. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you want to learn; be it Hindi and Sanskrit grammar, or any of the innumerable scriptures in the Sanskrit literature.

Resourceful and dedicated teacher

Ms. Uma ma'am is a warm, caring and skillful teacher, I was learning spoken hindi from her besides her amazing teaching skills, I adore her personality. I truly enjoyed every minute of her lecture. Very Knowledgeable and amazing teacher

Uma Mam is a great teacher and guide. My daughter has been learning Sanskrit and Hindi for some time now and has improved a lot under her guidance. Apart from studies she also guides on various slokas and help improve the knowledge base. She is extremely professional, friendly and very responsive, with a clear plan for each lesson. Very good and knowledgeable teacher

Uma madam is a very good teacher for Hindi. I availed her classes for both my daughters, one in secondary and another in primary. She teaches very well and is also very kind. My daughters Hindi knowledge has definitely improved because of her.

Sanskrit teacher

I would certainly recommend Uma narayanan madam.She taught my son sanskrit for class 8..My son had no prior knowledge of the subject and he was taught from the basics.she has been very systematic in teaching my son all thats required.His grades have been excellent as well.

BEST TEACHER EVER

I have been studying Sanskrit and Hindi with Miss Uma from the UK through Zoom since this summer and she is so kind and patient yet firm and this is what makes her so excellent. I have a very busy schedule and she is so understanding and teaches me at a good pace. She comes prepared to every class with study material and is on time. Not only is she a wonderful teacher but she's also an amazing person to know. She inspires me and makes me smile in every class.
