I am a Kannadiga from Bangalore having 20+ yrs of exp in teaching carnatic vocal and currently have 50+ students getting trained under me.I have given concerts at various sabhas in Bangalore,Mangalore, Mumbai and Shringeri.
Conduct both online and offine classes.
I teach as per Karnataka Govt exam syllabus and do cover theory concepts also along with practicals.
For students who are not interested to go for exams,I customise the teaching based on their requirements as I take one to one sessions.
I have students ranging from 3 yr old to 60 yr old.
For kids, I initially teach small songs as they find it difficult to grasp Sarales in the initial days.Once they are well versed with a few songs I start training them with Sarales.
I also conduct classes or short summer vacation courses on Devaranamas,Bhajans,Slokas, Devotional songs(Bhaktigeethe),Light music(Bhavageethe),Folk songs (Jaanapadageethe), Sai bhajans.
My students have given many programmes and their performances were appreciated by one and all.
I also send the recordings of the new lesson which is taught in each class.

Very Patient and knowledgeable Carnatic Music teacher

My Daughter has been practicing Carnatic vocal with Ms. Gayathri Prakash and I could not ask for anything more from a teacher. She is very patient with my little one and teaches in the pace that we want and very flexible with her class timings. My daughter has developed a new love for singing after starting classes with Ms. Gayathri. She has very good knowledge in Carnatic music and she ensures the kids follow through. I am very happy with her classes!

Finally, I found a best music teacher

I have been learning Vocal music with Gayatri since 6 months. I am extremely happy and satisfied. She is flexible and patient. I have found a new friend along with a teacher. I don't believe myself that, I have learned so many krithis and bhajans in only 20 weeks.

Amazing teacher

Both of my kids are learning Carnatic music from Gayathri from past one year. She is very talented and teaches with lot of patience. My kids have learnt several devotional songs from her and they enjoy the classes. Thank you.

Excellent online Classes and highly Recommend to others

Me and my 8 year old daughter started online classes with Gayathri and we are very much happy with her teaching skills. She is very professional, patient and flexible. She makes us feel comfortable in class and makes sure we learn something new in every class. We are taking carnatic music Vocal classes from USA and never had any difficulty with skype classes. I see lot of improvement in my daughter's singing and I am very happy I could learn carnatic music along with my daughter. Very thankful for her efforts and I am very glad I found her.

Wonderful music teacher

My son started online classes with Smt. Gayathri two months ago. We are extremely happy and satisfied with her teaching. She is very punctual and flexible with class timings. She is very friendly and teaches with lot of patience. My Son is absolutely fond of her teaching and he is learning quickly because of her valuable efforts.

Music made easy

I started online Carnatic music class with Gayatri Mam last year. I've enjoyed every class of mine so far. She understands the student's capabilities and teaches accordingly. She's quite flexible with timings and her patience is incredible. Above all, I love her voice and the way she tries to make music easy for everybody. I've learnt quite a few bhajans and continuing carnatic music class. I always thought learning music online is not very effective, but definitely no regrets now!!

Very good Teaching Skills

I came across Gayatriji’s profile while I was looking for online teachers for light music and Bhajans last year. I like her teaching method and skill and her patience and the way she points out how to sing correctly greatly helps me in my learning. She is a good motivator and promotes confidence in me when I feel I can't reach a note or if I doubt myself anytime. I have learnt lot of Bhajans, Purandhar Das Kritis, Mangala Aartis so far which are of my interest. The best part is , she is so willing to teach a song that she never heard before . She will make time to listen , learn and will teach . Her smile is another best quality that gives positive energy to the class. I have come a long way in past one year from where I was before. I highly recommend her to anyone that’s looking to learn Carnatic Classical, Light music or Bhajans of any kind.
