I am a Vocalist in Bengali and Semiclassical Music.I did my Master's in Bengali and Semiclassical music. I have learnt music from Smt. Aparajita Basu who is disciple of Bidushi Sipra Basu. I am also a student of renowned classical singer Pandit Koushik Bhattacharjee.
Depending upon the requirement I teach Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul geeti, Atulprasadi, Rajanikanter gaan, Dwijendra geeti, bangla raagpradhan as well as bhajan and Semiclassical music. I love to describe meaning and philosophy of songs that will help students to understand the soul of a song.
My techniques of teaching are specially designed for Music learners. Students of any age group are invited to learn from me. I also give vocal training for both Semiclassical and Bengali songs. Price of classes varies for Advanced Concepts.

Friendly, resourceful with strong work ethic and devoted to music

Sruti madam is an excellent teacher superb communication skills . She is friendly, but can be politely firm when needs to be.
She has a broad but robust knowledge base. She sends recordings which has helped me to improve in my singing . When I have struggled she has been able to employ innovative ways like using sargam to help me .
I have found her accommodative to my timings as I live in UK. The most impressive aspect is that she is devoted to music and teaches with heart and soul.

GREAT Teacher!

I am a beginner in music from California, USA. I started taking music class from Sruti 3 months ago. Sruti is a great teacher!
Sruti has lots of patience to guide me. I have already learned some of the sargams and a few Bengali songs. Sruti gives lots of her own time in recording various parts of the song multiple times that make it easy to learn the singing.
Sruti listens to understand the situation, expectations of the learner, and guides in the right direction. She accentuates the positives and helps to excel via encouragement. She is also quite flexible in terms of timing, duration which helps as part of digital learning.
Overall I had one of the best experiences having Sruti as my teacher. I am extremely happy and definitely recommend her to others.

Amazing voice teacher!

I have been studying with this teacher for the last month. I am an American interested in learning Bhajans and devotional music and Sruti is the perfect teacher for me. She is so knowledgeable and has such a beautiful voice and very effective teaching style. I have learned so much from her in a short time. Not only that but she is kind and patient and fun. I feel like she is my spiritual sister and one that I can learn and sing with. Super grateful for Sruti! I highly recommend her!
