Hey there! This is Pallabi Ghosh from India who came to the USA a couple of years ago. Back there, I was an academic instructor at St. Xavier's College, teaching and mentoring the undergraduate students of the college. I hold a master's degree (M.A.) in Geography with 5 years of teaching and administrative experience as I held the chair of the Department of Geography. The subject is all about how every aspect in this world where we thrive changes in relation to space and time. Being a First Class Second Rank holder of THE UNIVERSITY OF BURDWAN (WEST BENGAL, INDIA) Geography has always surprised me with it's changing and interactive roles between the physical and the human aspects. I qualified the NATIONAL LEVEL ELIGIBILITY TEST FOR LECTURESHIP in INDIA and thus have a national permit in being qualified to teach the subject in my country. Presently due to my stay in another new sphere and time zone, I hope to impart knowledge and make the discipline as interesting to the students as I did back there. Still, when my students give me a call to thank me for being patient I see that as the greatest blessing for being into the noble profession of all. Looking forward to interacting with my older students as well as the new ones. Let the teaching-learning experience be fun-filled for I believe it's not only the teacher but a student who can also make the platform interesting by educating the teacher.

  • News Writer for the UN World Weekly Climate Change News (Sep, 2019–Mar, 2020) at UNITED NATIONS
    This was an online volunteering role where I worked as a News Writer in delivering “World Weekly Climate Change News”.We had a team comprising six members from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kazakistan, and Botswana who look forward to creating promotional videos based on issues related to climate change. These videos were created in order to bring awareness of mass on social media and were a project of six months as had been decided by the Universal Versatile Society of India.
  • HOD & Assistant Professor (Aug, 2014–Jan, 2019) at St.Xavier's College, Burdwan
    I joined Xavier's as a Guest Faculty in Geography in 2014. After working for 2 years I was promoted to Assistant Professor designation after which I was made the departmental incharge. I have sound experience in academic and administrative responsibilities with strategic planning. In 2019, January, I resigned from my position and moved to USA for family reasons.
